When you go to your interview it's alright to be a little bit nervous that is common. The key thing for you to focus on is saying all the right things. If they ask you can you handle this? You say yes! Don't say yes if you can't but if you can make sure that you don't say....well, I think so. People who are in a position to hire at the post office are hiring for a living that's generally what they do! Actually I was hired by the post master who interviewed me the first time I was offered a job but the second time in a bigger city I was hired by a woman who was in charge of all hiring and interviews.
If you've gotten an interview that means you are being considered for a position and this is a big step. The interview is your chance to seal the deal or blow the whole thing. Some people go in there and they talk too much try to make good conversation but don't talk their ear off. You obviously did well on your 473 exam so you are a serious contender and you need to be positive of yourself.
You should be ready for questions like "Why do you want to work at the post office?" these are common place and also your best bet is to be open to any hours. If you go in there with a difficult schedule you might not be considered. This is all my opinion but I was offered two positions and I think that I have a good idea. My grandfather also was a union steward for many years so I've gotten some solid tips.
Remember to dress well and if they ask you about the postal 473 exam tell them about how you enjoyed it. I mean really it's not too hard a test I did enjoy it to an extent. Some things to remember when doing any interview anywhere is to make good but not uncomfortable eye contact as well as a business like handshake. If you don't know what that is take a look on youtube for guidelines.
You've made it this far so make sure that you get hired! Make sure that you take the interview very seriously and put every effort into showing that you care about this country and the post office.
